- Eat healthy diet include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet. It will help normal your cycle. Take more pulses in your diet as they are low fat, high in fibre, with no cholesterol, low glycemic index, high in protein and nutrients.
- Have lots of water and reduce or eliminate caffeine like coffee, tea, chocolate, colas or alcohol. It would help flush the system and keep cells rejuvenated.
- Take adequate sleep as it will help restore the reproductive system. Lack of sleep can disrupt your cycle.
- Manage your weight. Your weight could be the highest contributing factor for irregular periods. Go for a gradual weight loss. Manage it with light exercises and little bit of dieting.
- Eliminate stress from your life be it mental, physical or emotional as it will affect the estrogen and progesterone levels in the body. So, try and work on eliminating the stress.
- If you are feeling much pain during menstruation you can ask somebody to give u a gentle massage on your lower back.
- Put hot water bag in your lower abdomen and lie down for a while it will help in ease the pain.
- Also a mild exercise like walking or little bit of treadmill if you can manage to do will help in reducing the cramps.
